Most parents enquire in March. The families who visit now get their choice of branch, class timing and teacher. A 30-minute campus tour costs nothing and changes everything.
Our Gradual Transition Programme ensures every child settles at their own pace. In the first week, your child attends for just 1 hour each day — and most children settle comfortably within this period. We put our full effort into making the school environment warm and welcoming for your child. From the second week, once your child has settled, full school timings are followed as per the regular schedule. If a child needs a little more time, we are happy to accommodate that on a case-by-case basis — every child is different and we respect that.
You will receive individual photos and videos on WhatsApp until your child settles in comfortably. After that, regular weekly updates are sent through our parent app so you always know how your child is doing.
Both — that’s the point. Research consistently shows children aged 1.5–5 learn best through structured play. Our curriculum builds phonics, numeracy, social skills and emotional regulation through activities children enjoy. They won’t even know they’re learning.
Our full-day Daycare runs from 9 AM to 6 PM, Monday to Friday. Students bring their own home-cooked food and our trained caretakers provide dedicated feeding assistance at every meal break. Waddle Kids follows the Milestone Curriculum 2.0, developed in partnership with Next Learning 360 — a pan-India curriculum and EdTech platform provider. The curriculum is fully aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP 2020) and is built around nine holistic pillars: Who Am I? (self-identity), STEAM exploration, age-appropriate learning, balanced development across all five domains (cognitive, linguistic, social, emotional and physical), fine and gross motor skill-building, discovering innate talents, nurturing young minds, and sustainability. Every session is hands-on, play-led and free from rote memorisation.
Our primary medium of instruction is English, but we integrate Tamil language activities daily — rhymes, conversations, storytime and vocabulary building. This bilingual exposure is especially beneficial for children growing up in Chennai where both languages are part of everyday life.
Research consistently shows that children who learn through structured play develop stronger attention spans, better problem-solving skills and higher emotional resilience. At Waddle Kids every activity builds a specific skill — stacking blocks builds spatial reasoning, role-play builds language and empathy, group games build cooperation. By UKG, children are reading-ready, number-confident and socially prepared for Class 1.
We maintain a maximum of 15 children per class, with 1 qualified teacher and 1 trained caretaker per class at all times. This ensures every child receives individual attention throughout the day. The same ratio applies during afternoon daycare hours.
We use a digital progress tracking system that records each child’s milestones across all five development domains. Parents receive regular updates via our parent communication app, quarterly parent-teacher meetings and daily handover notes at pickup — so you always know how your child’s day went.
Our Full-Day Daycare runs 9 AM to 6 PM, Monday to Friday. Children who finish preschool hours transition seamlessly into the afternoon daycare programme — supervised play, enrichment activities, rest time and feeding assistance. No separate drop-off is needed for the daycare extension.
Yes. Our daycare accepts children from 9 months of age. Infants and toddlers are cared for in a dedicated, age-appropriate environment with trained caretakers who follow each child’s individual routine for naps, feeds and play. We do not mix infants with older children in the same activity space.
Students bring their own home-cooked food every day — we do not prepare or provide meals. You decide exactly what your child eats. Our trained caretakers provide dedicated lunch and snacks feeding assistance, sitting with each group and helping younger children eat comfortably so no child skips their meal.
We immediately call the parent if a child develops fever, shows symptoms of illness or has an injury. A trained caretaker stays with the child in a separate care area until you arrive. We will administer medication based on the emergency situation. We have a first aid box with medicines up to date. For emergencies, we have a tie-up with a nearby clinic for rapid first-response support.

All class teachers hold recognised early childhood education qualifications (NTT, MTT, B.Ed or equivalent) and complete Waddle Kids’ internal training programme before entering a classroom. Caretakers are trained in child safety, first aid and developmentally appropriate practice. We run regular professional development sessions to keep the team current on early childhood research.
